Volleyball Recap: Valley View Comes Up Short

Valley View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against the West Liberty-Salem Tigers, falling 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-9, 25-16.

Olivia James paced Valley View's offense, picking up eight kills. James got some help from Lucy Shell and her 11 assists.

Leading West Liberty-Salem to victory were Reagan Winters and Sophia Landon. Winters had 11 digs and one assist, while Landon had eight assists and six digs. Lilliann Heminger also deserves some recognition as she had her first blocks of the season.

Valley View's loss dropped their record down to 8-15. As for West Liberty-Salem, their win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-3.

Valley View does not have any more games scheduled as of now. West Liberty-Salem has already played their next contest (against Anna), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
