Baseball Recap: Mountain Range Mustangs vs. Riverdale Ridge Ravens
Mountain Range couldn't beat Riverdale Ridge on Thursday even though they stacked four runs on them in the third inning. The Mustangs came up short against the Ravens, falling 14-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Ravens this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-1 back in March.
Mountain Range saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was James Watt, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another was Noah Espinoza, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.
This is the second loss in a row for Mountain Range and nudges their season record down to 6-9. As for Riverdale Ridge, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-6.
Looking ahead, Mountain Range will square off against Horizon at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Riverdale Ridge, they will take on Northglenn at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
