Volleyball Recap: Cypress Park Comes Up Short

Cypress Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Bridgeland Bears. The Tigers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bears from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-6, 25-7.

Bridgeland's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Alexis Couch, who had seven digs and two aces. What's more, Couch posted four assists, the most she's had over her last nine matches. Madison Wells also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

Cypress Park's loss dropped their record down to 6-18. As for Bridgeland, they pushed their record up to 20-9 with the victory, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Cypress Park is set to face off against their familiar foe Langham Creek at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Bridgeland will take on rival Waller at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
