Volleyball Recap: Fishers Beats Zionsville for Their Tenth Straight Win

Fishers had already won nine in a row and they went ahead and made it ten on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Zionsville Eagles by a score of 3-1. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since March 16, 2024, but that streak is no more.

Fishers had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 19-25, 27-25, 25-13, 25-18.

Nate Fitzwater paced Fishers' offense, picking up 20 kills. Fitzwater got some help from JT Guler and his 43 assists.

When it comes to explaining why Zionsville lost, don't look at Landon Scroggins. Despite the final result, he had 20 digs and two aces. Jack Miller also deserves some recognition as he had his first block of the season.

Fishers' victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-1. As for Zionsville, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Fishers will challenge rival Westfield at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Zionsville is set to take on their familiar foe Carmel at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
