Volleyball Recap: Logan's Losing Streak Snapped at Five Games

Logan was handed a three-set defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Granger Lancers 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Grizzlies have posted since April 26, 2024.

Logan was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 20-25, 19-25, 25-23, 15-9.

Aidan Kent paced Logan's offense, picking up eight kills. Kent got some help from Josh Merrill and his 32 assists.

Logan moved to 5-8 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak. As for Granger, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-5.

After both having extra time off, Logan and Bear River will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:30 p.m. on the 8th. The Grizzlies are facing the Bears at the right time seeing as the Bears are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Granger, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against Hillcrest on the 4th.
