Basketball Recap: Jakob Massey's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Hickory Christian Academy over Westchester Country Day

Hickory Christian Academy lost against Westchester Country Day back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Knights fell 68-60 to the Wildcats. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jakob Massey, who posted 14 points along with six assists and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Durham, who earned 22 points.

Hickory Christian Academy now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Westchester Country Day, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Hickory Christian Academy will venture away from home to take on Westminster Catawba Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Knights will need to watch out since the Indians have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Westchester Country Day, after both having extra time off, they and New Garden Friends will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:30 p.m. on December 2.
