Softball Game Preview: Temple Academy Bereans vs. Telstar Rebels

The Temple Academy Bereans will head out to face off against the Telstar Rebels at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. Temple Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.

Monday just wasn't the day for Temple Academy's offense. They came up short against Buckfield on Monday, falling 14-0. The Bereans haven't had much luck with the Bucks recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Temple Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isabelle Tompkins, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double. That hit marked the first that Tompkins has got this season.

Meanwhile, Telstar was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost an 11-9 heartbreaker at the hands of Richmond.

Cadie Campbell and Maylyn Hastings did some serious damage despite the final result: Campbell went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and two runs, while Hastings went 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Quinn Coolidge, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI.

Temple Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Telstar, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.
