Yucaipa owes their defense a big pat on the back after their performance on Monday. Everything went their way against the Arlington Lions as they made off with a 20-0 victory. The Thunderbirds not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since August 9th (when they won 24-0).

The win made it two in a row for Yucaipa and bumps their season record up to 7-5. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 7 points in those games. As for Arlington, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-9-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Yucaipa will face off against rival Beaumont at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Thunderbirds 13.2, the Cougars 6.6) so any points scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Arlington is set to take on their familiar foe Hemet at 7:30 p.m. on the 23rd. This will be the Lions' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
