Soccer Game Preview: MacDuffie vs. Cheshire Academy

The MacDuffie Mustangs will venture away from home to square off against the Cheshire Academy Cats at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. MacDuffie's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

On Monday, MacDuffie came up short against Gann Academy and fell 3-1.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last contest, Cheshire Academy made sure to put some goals up on the board against Marvelwood on Friday. They never let the Pterodactyls get on the board and left with a 6-0 win. Cheshire Academy might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matches by three goals or more this season.

Cheshire Academy now has a winning record of 3-2. As for MacDuffie, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

MacDuffie beat Cheshire Academy by a goal when the teams last played back in September of 2022, winning 1-0. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Cats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
