Elkhart lost to Mishawaka back in March of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Lions came out on top against the Cavemen by a score of 10-7. The victory was familiar territory for the Lions, who have now won four contests in a row.

Addison Reid was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted over her last 12 matches. Bailey Harris-Rogers was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Elkhart kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Elkhart's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-11. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Mishawaka, their loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-6.

Coming up, Elkhart will welcome South Bend Adams at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mishawaka, they will challenge Northridge at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Cavemen's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Raiders have averaged an impressive 8 runs per game this season.
