Baseball Recap: Tecumseh Braves vs. Washington Hatchets
Sadly, Tecumseh is still looking for their first win of the season after five matches. They fell just short of the Washington Hatchets by a score of 5-4 on Saturday. One positive for Tecumseh, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.
Dillon DuPont was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. On the mound, he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. DuPont was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, Wyatt Huddleston made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-2. Braydon Long was another key contributor, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
Even though they lost, Tecumseh didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and finished the game with seven strikeouts. That's the most strikeouts they've managed all season.
On Washington's side, Mattox Hinkle tossed a big game, pitching six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits.

Washington will take on Vincennes Lincoln at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The pair have allowed few runs on average, (Washington: 3.8, Vincennes Lincoln: 1.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
