Preview: Parlier vs. Strathmore
Parlier will be defending their home turf for the first time on Friday when they go up against Strathmore at 7:00 PM. The MaxPreps rankings say the odds are against Parlier, but that can only make success all the sweeter.
It could have been worse for Parlier, but it could have been a whole lot better too, as the team fell 34-52 to Yosemite last Friday.
Strathmore had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. They were fully in charge last week, breezing past Boron 48-6. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Strathmore had established a 42-6 advantage.
Strathmore's win lifted them to 1-0 while Parlier's loss dropped them down to 0-2. We'll find out if Strathmore can add another positive mark to their record or if Parlier can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Strathmore's step.
