West Ottawa hadn't done well against Grandville recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Panthers came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 4-1. The win was familiar territory for the Panthers, who have now won four contests in a row.

Brody Sobota spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up eight Ks.

At the plate, West Ottawa saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braylon Cates, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI. Cayden Ortega was another, going 1-for-3 with two RBI.

West Ottawa's victory bumped their record up to 13-7. As for Grandville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-5.
