Volleyball Recap: Johnstown-Monroe Johnnies vs. Pleasant Spartans

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Johnstown-Monroe can now relate to. They fell 3-1 to the Pleasant Spartans on Saturday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Johnnies of the 3-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2022.

Johnstown-Monroe was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Pleasant work for it, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-20, 26-24, 24-26, 25-13.

Pleasant got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Siri Veladanda out in front who had 17 digs and three assists. Those 17 digs gave Veladanda a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Cassie Ice, who had 28 assists and 12 digs.
