Basketball Game Preview: Monticello Panthers vs. Valley Central Vikings

Monticello hasn't had much luck against Valley Central recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Monticello Panthers are taking a road trip to face off against the Valley Central Vikings at 6:30 p.m.

Monticello is headed into Monday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Friday. They fell 57-48 to Liberty.

Meanwhile, Valley Central waltzed into their game on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 60-53 win over the Dragons.

Valley Central's victory bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Monticello, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-14.

Monticello was taken down by Valley Central 64-37 in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. Can Monticello avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
