Baseball Recap: Whiteville's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Two

Whiteville barely beat South Columbus the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wolfpack's pitchers stepped up to hand the Stallions a 12-0 shutout on Thursday. The Wolfpack might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by six runs or more this season.

The win made it two in a row for Whiteville and bumps their season record up to 16-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games. As for South Columbus, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-5.

As of now, neither Whiteville nor the Stallions have any future games scheduled.
