Baseball Recap: Kenai Central Falls Short of Soldotna in the Playoffs

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Kenai Central couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They lost 8-2 to the Soldotna Stars on Saturday. The contest marked the Kardinals' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Kenai Central saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braden Smith, who went 2-for-3 with one triple.

Kenai Central's loss dropped their record down to 13-5. As for Soldotna, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 18 games. That's provided a massive bump to their 18-9-2 record this season.

As of now, neither Kenai Central nor Soldotna have any future games scheduled.
