            Softball Recap: Champion Golden Flashes vs. Perry Panthers        
        
		
        
        
            Champion never let their opponents score on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Perry Panthers with a sharp  10-0 victory. The game was the first time the Golden Flashes have beaten the Panthers on their field since March 31, 2018.
 Gabrielle Gradishar made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Gradishar was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-3.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Jonna Strock, who  went a perfect 3-for-3 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs.  Taylor Rouan was another key player,  going 1-for-2 with three  runs, one  triple,  and one  RBI.

Champion pushed their record up to 2-0 with the  win, which was their ninth straight  on the road dating back to last season.the team's perfect season has a lot to do with their hitting performance: the team won's by an average of 13.1 runs thus far As for Perry,  they are  on  a  four-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Champion will host LaBrae  at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. LaBrae will roll in looking for their  fifth straight  victory, something Champion surely won't give up without a fight. As for Perry, they will look to defend their home field  on Wednesday against McKinley  at 5:00  p.m.
