On Thursday, Milton faced Johns Creek in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Milton Eagles put the hurt on the Johns Creek Gladiators with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory was nothing new for the Eagles as they're now sitting on five straight.

Milton never let Johns Creek on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-21, 25-23.

Milton was led to victory by Sofia Slavov and Anna Verhoff. Slavov had 12 digs and three aces, while Verhoff had ten digs and 16 assists. Verhoff is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 14 or more in the last five games she's played dating back to last season.
