Basketball Recap: Lakewood Takes a Loss

Lakewood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They fell 54-41 to the New Egypt Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Piners this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 52-44 back in January.

Lakewood's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for New Egypt, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 6-10 record this season.

Coming up, Lakewood is taking a road trip to take on Asbury Park at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for New Egypt, they will face off against Florence Township Memorial at 5:15 p.m. on Monday.
