Pulaski is a perfect 3-0 against Notre Dame Academy since April of 2024 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Red Raiders will take on the Tritons at 4:30 p.m. Pulaski's pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so Notre Dame Academy's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Pulaski proved they can win big on Friday (they won by nine) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Bay Port 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Red Raiders have posted since May 5th.
The team relied heavily on Kianna Altendorf, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Molly Molthen, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.
Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last game, Notre Dame Academy made sure to put some runs up on the board against Sheboygan North on Monday. The Tritons blew past the Golden Raiders 21-2. Considering the Tritons have won ten matchups by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Ella Nowak made a big impact no matter where she played. She pitched three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. Nowak was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April.
In other batting news, Notre Dame Academy got a massive performance out of Emma Jahner, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and five RBI. Those four runs gave Jahner a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddie Hilts, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base.
Notre Dame Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 19 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Pulaski is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-10 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Notre Dame Academy, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-14.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Pulaski hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .343. However, it's not like Notre Dame Academy struggles in that department as they've averaged .332. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Pulaski was able to grind out a solid win over Notre Dame Academy in their previous matchup back in April, winning 3-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Red Raiders since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
