Recap: Autaugaville Eagles vs. Calhoun Tigers
The Autaugaville Eagles won the last time they faced the Calhoun Tigers, and things went their way on Monday too. Autaugaville secured a 31-27 W over the Tigers. The win made it back-to-back wins for Autaugaville.
Calhoun's loss came despite strong showings from Mariah Champion and JaMiya Fleeton. Champion scored seven points along with five rebounds, while Fleeton scored three points along with 11 rebounds.
Autaugaville is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 10-9 record this season. As for Calhoun, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-12.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Autaugaville is on the road again on Tuesday and plays the Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. on January 30th. Hopefully Marbury focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 last Saturday. As for Calhoun, they will head out on the road to take on the Rams at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Marion will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
