Football Recap: Heritage Triumphs

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Heritage ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They slipped by the Northfield Nighthawks 32-31. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Mo Thenell was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 120 yards and a pair of scores, and also picked up 37 receiving yards. Another player making a difference was Parker Terch, who picked up 105 receiving yards and one TD.

Heritage now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Northfield, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Coming up, Heritage will be playing in front of their home fans against Mesa Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Northfield, they will venture away from home to square off against Pueblo East at 7:00 p.m. on the 19th.
