Oneonta extended the longest winning streak in 4A Region 6 this week by beating Douglas, 63-8. This was the team's sixth consecutive win.
Locust Fork moved up to 276 from 305 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. A 21-14 win over Crossville helped the Hornets improve their standing.
On the ground, Locust Fork's Geoffrey Bramblett has rushed for 431 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Clay Smith. The Locust Fork star has 27 catches for 471 yards.
Two of the top units in 4A Region 6 will face off this week when Fairview takes on Oneonta. The Aggies' offense has recorded 169 points this season, making them No. 1 in the league, while Don Jacobs' team has permitted only 60 on the year.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Fairview takes on the Redskins. George Redding Jr.'s team is in third place, while Oneonta is in first place.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Aggies take on the Redskins. Fairview has allowed 96 points this season, while Oneonta has given up 60. The Aggies allowed 16 points last week as they bested St. Clair County.
The Redskins took down the Eagles 63-8 last week, the largest margin of any game.
