Baseball Recap: Southeast Polk Takes a Loss

Southeast Polk has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.88 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Wednesday. They lost 11-5 to the Valley Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, with their most recent defeat being a 6-3 loss back in June.

Southeast Polk dropped their record down to 16-16 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Valley, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 20-12.

Southeast Polk has already played their next match, a 5-1 win against Waukee on the 3rd. As for Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 8-1 victory against Ankeny Centennial on the 3rd.
