Softball Recap: Chillicothe Comes Up Short

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Chillicothe's offense. They lost 24-0 to the Wheelersburg Pirates on Wednesday. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Cavaliers, who until this contest were averaging 3.35 runs allowed.

Chillicothe has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 20-6 record this season. As for Wheelersburg, they pushed their record up to 17-5 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home.

As of now, neither Chillicothe nor the Pirates have any future games scheduled.
