Baseball Recap: Torrey Pines Comes Up Short

San Marcos hit Torrey Pines with a four-run first inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Falcons fell 7-3 to the Knights. If the Falcons were looking for revenge after losing 6-5 to the Knights when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Torrey Pines saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack Swanberg, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Nick Aldrich also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Torrey Pines has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-9 record this season. As for San Marcos, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-4-1.
