Harbor came out on top against Marina on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run first inning. The Pirates walked away with a 7-2 victory over the Mariners. That's more bragging rights for the Pirates, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Hana Pomerantz spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on eight hits and racked up 13 Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Sofia Monroe, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, two triples, and one run. Those two triples gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Addysin Schaefer, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

Harbor has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Harbor will take on Trinity Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Marina, they will square off against St. Francis at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
