Football Recap: Italy Starts Season with Win at Home

Italy took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Scurry-Rosser Wildcats 31-28. For the Gladiators, this counts as revenge for the 27-20 win the Wildcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2024.

Despite the loss, Scurry-Rosser still got an impressive performance from Drew Jestis, who rushed for 42 yards and one TD.

Coming up, Italy will take on Chilton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Scurry-Rosser, they will challenge Mineola at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
