Baseball Recap: Presque Isle Find Success

Presque Isle lost to Houlton back in May of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Wildcats came out on top against the Shiretowners by a score of 8-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

Presque Isle got a great performance from Lane Carmichael as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over six innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Kason Bua was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Oliver Woollard, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Presque Isle now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Houlton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Presque Isle will challenge Fort Kent at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Houlton, they will take on Orono at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
