Recap: Raleigh-Egypt Pharaohs vs. Millington Central Trojans

The Raleigh-Egypt Pharaohs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their ninth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 65-13 loss at the hands of Millington Central. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Raleigh-Egypt has scored all season.

Millington Central got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Arianna Whiten out in front who scored 15 points. Whiten is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for four games straight. Alissa Carpenter was another key contributor, scoring nine points.

Raleigh-Egypt dropped their record down to 2-10 with that loss, which was their sixth straight at home. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 23.0 points per game. As for Millington Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Raleigh-Egypt will take on Brighton at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Brighton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 last Tuesday. As for Millington Central, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Munford at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
