Volleyball Recap: Northeast Comes Up Short

Northeast came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Stoneman Douglas Eagles, falling 3-0. The Hurricanes have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

The final score came out to 25-5, 25-6, 25-5.

Stoneman Douglas got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Grace Pulsifer out in front who had 21 assists and seven aces. Pulsifer is crushing it when it comes to aces: she's served at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Olive Smith, who had nine aces.

Northeast now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Stoneman Douglas, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Coming up, Northeast will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Miramar at 4:30 p.m. As for Stoneman Douglas, they will venture away from home to face off against Flanagan at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
