Soccer Game Preview: Eagle Mountain vs. Lake Worth

The Eagle Mountain Knights will head out on the road to challenge the Lake Worth Bullfrogs at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Eagle Mountain's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Eagle Mountain's offense. They came up short against Lake Dallas on Tuesday, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, Eagle Mountain can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 551st, while Lake Dallas are ranked 107th).

Meanwhile, Lake Worth kept a clean sheet against Collegiate Academy at TCC Northeast on Tuesday. They blew past the Phoenix 4-0. Lake Worth haven't had any issues with Collegiate Academy at TCC Northeast recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Eagle Mountain's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9-2. As for Lake Worth, their victory bumped their record up to 10-8-1.

Eagle Mountain suffered a grim 4-1 defeat to Lake Worth when the teams last played two weeks ago. Can the Knights avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
