Soccer Game Preview: Port of Los Angeles vs. Kennedy

The Port of Los Angeles Polar Bears will face off against the Kennedy Cougars at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Port of Los Angeles' last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Last Wednesday, Port of Los Angeles didn't have quite enough to beat Foshay and fell 3-2.

Meanwhile, it's playoff time, and Kennedy had no trouble coming through when it counted. They never let Animo Watts get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory on Thursday. That's two games straight that the Cougars have won by exactly three goals.

They hit Animo Watts with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Jesus Henriquez, Diego Cervantes, and Jefferson Alvarado.

The win made it two in a row for Kennedy and bumps their season record up to 5-13. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two games. As for Port of Los Angeles, their loss dropped their record down to 8-6.
