Basketball Game Preview: Fullerton Indians vs. Pacifica Mariners

The Fullerton Indians will be taking part in a tournament against the Pacifica Mariners at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Fullerton knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Pacifica likes a good challenge.

Fullerton will bounce into Saturday's contest after beating Newport Harbor, who they had gone 0-3 against in their three prior meetings. The Indians took down the Sailors 91-76 on Thursday. The Indians' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Pacifica didn't have too much trouble with Sunny Hills on Thursday as they won 60-46.

Pacifica is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.5 points over those games. As for Fullerton, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.

Fullerton couldn't quite get it done against Pacifica in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 as they fell 66-56. Can the Indians avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
