Basketball Recap: Vian Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Vian can now relate to. They came up short against the Talihina Golden Tigers on Saturday, falling 67-44. The Wolverines just can't catch a break and have now endured seven defeats in a row.

Talihina got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Landen Griffith out in front who almost dropped a double-double with 19 points and nine boards. Sam Bryant was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 12 points and nine rebounds.

Vian's loss dropped their record down to 8-16. As for Talihina, their win bumped their record up to 11-8.

Vian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Talihina, they will challenge Pocola at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pocola will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Talihina surely won't give up without a fight.
