Basketball Recap: Arcadia's Loss Ends Six-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Arcadia lost against Ringgold back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Arcadia Hornets fell 57-50 to the Ringgold Redskins. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Hornets came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 41st, while the Redskins are ranked 309th).

Ringgold was led to victory by LaDaunte McCoy and AnTravion Kinsey. McCoy went 8 of 14 en route to 19 points along with five rebounds and four steals, while Kinsey went 6 for 15 on his way to 12 points in addition to eight boards and four steals. The dominant performance also gave Kinsey a new career-high in assists (four). Another player making a difference was Keenan Johnson, who posted ten points and three steals.

Arcadia's loss ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 13-4. As for Ringgold, their record is now 6-16.

Arcadia will square off against Jonesboro-Hodge at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ringgold, they will challenge Cedar Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cedar Creek will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Ringgold surely won't give up without a fight.
