Basketball Recap: Cooper Knight Key Part of a Team Effort in Junior Jays Win

Creighton Prep won the last time they faced Millard West and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Creighton Prep Junior Jays skirted past the Millard West Wildcats 74-71. Given the Junior Jays' advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 12th, while the Wildcats are ranked 81st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Creighton Prep's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cooper Knight, who went 6 for 14 en route to 17 points. Guot Guot also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Millard West lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Carter LaBorde, who went 7 of 11 on his way to 17 points and seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Reece Carson, who went 7 for 10 en route to 16 points and five assists.
