Baseball Recap: Wellington Takes a Loss

Wellington came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Keystone Wildcats, falling 21-3. The defeat continues a trend for the Dukes in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost four in a row.

Johnnie Kinter made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Preston Cochran was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Wellington's loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Keystone, their win bumped their record up to 21-3.

Wellington does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Keystone, they are taking a road trip to take on Wooster at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
