Soccer Recap: Bishop McGuinness Comes Up Short

Bishop McGuinness pushed their score to five the last time they played Edmond Memorial, but on Tuesday they couldn't quite do it again. The Bishop McGuinness Fighting Irish fell just short of the Edmond Memorial Bulldogs by a score of 1-0. The Fighting Irish were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2015.

Having lost for the first time this season, Bishop McGuinness fell to 1-1. As for Edmond Memorial, they now have a winning record of 1-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bishop McGuinness will venture away from home to take on Chickasha at 1:20 p.m. on Friday. As for Edmond Memorial, they are taking a road trip to face off against Stillwater at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Edmond Memorial's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
