Basketball Recap: Beaver Local Takes a Loss

If Beaver Local was riding high fresh off their 83-47 takedown of Buckeye Local on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Beaver Local Beavers fell just short of the Salem Quakers by a score of 67-64 on Saturday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Beavers came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 213th, while the Quakers are ranked 596th).

Beaver Local's loss dropped their record down to 13-5. As for Salem, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-13.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Beaver Local will face off against Hubbard at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Salem, they will square off against West Branch at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
