Basketball Recap: Hernando Leopards vs. Citrus Hurricanes        
        
		
             Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better  (just ask Hernando). They walked away with  a   64-56  victory over the Citrus Hurricanes  on Tuesday. With that  win, the Leopards brought their scoring average up to 51.8  points per game.
 Hernando's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Blake Williams, who  scored 14 points in addition to six  rebounds and five  steals. Williams is trending in the right direction considering he's  improved his point production for three straight games. Another player making a difference was  Sam Jackson, who  posted 12 points along with eight  rebounds and three  steals.
 Hernando  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 15  offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  pulled down at least nine  offensive rebounds in four consecutive  contests.
 Citrus lost  despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being   Landon Hensley, who  dropped  a double-double on 22 points and ten  rebounds.  Ashton Jenkins was another key player,  scoring 13 points in addition to eight  rebounds and five  blocks.
 Hernando's record is now 3-1. As for Citrus, they dropped their record down to 0-3 with the  loss, which was their seventh straight  on the road dating back to last season.
 Hernando has already played their next match,  a  64-47  win against Hudson on the 5th. As for Citrus, they also  wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next  game,  a  72-59  defeat against Belleview on the 5th.
