Basketball Recap: Academe of the Oaks Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Academe of the Oaks, who bounced back after a loss on the road back in November. They came out on top against the Atlanta Jewish Academy Jaguar by a score of 32-24 on Tuesday.

Academe of the Oaks found their leader in sophomore Maya Sklare, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds. Belle Carnes was another key player, putting up four points and ten boards.

The victory got Academe of the Oaks back to even at 1-1. As for Atlanta Jewish Academy, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Academe of the Oaks will be playing at home against Atlanta Area School for the Deaf at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Atlanta Jewish Academy, they will venture away from home to challenge Cottage at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
