             Lakeland was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their third straight  loss. They took  a  44-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jimtown Jimmies. That's two games in a row now that the Lakers have lost by  exactly ten  points.
 Lakeland's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Brayden Holbrook, who threw for 257 yards and a touchdown, and also punched in a rushing score.  Myles Edwards was  Holbrook's top target, picking up 95 receiving yards and a touchdown.
 Lakeland's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Jimtown, their victory was  their fourth straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 6-3.
 The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Lakeland will square off against Garrett at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Garrett will roll in looking for their  ninth straight  win, something Lakeland surely won't give up without a fight. As for Jimtown, they will challenge Glenn at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Jimtown is facing Glenn at the right time seeing as Glenn is stuck on  a  six-game losing streak.
