Baseball Game Preview: West Noble Chargers vs. Fremont Eagles

West Noble hasn't had much luck against Fremont recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Chargers will look to defend their home field against the Eagles at 5:30 p.m. West Noble is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.

On Saturday, West Noble came up short against Wawasee and fell 10-7. The Chargers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jordan Eash was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Joe Button, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.

Meanwhile, Fremont fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Woodlan on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 8-5 to the Warriors. Eagles fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Warriors since on Monday.

Fremont saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Foster, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. Ben Ford was another, going 2-for-4 with three RBI.

West Noble's defeat dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Fremont, they dropped their record down to 15-9 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. West Noble has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.1 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Fremont struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
