Underclassman Tehani Shigematsu came into Tuesday's match looking to prove herself and that's exactly what she did. On Tuesday she threw for 315 yards and three touchdowns while completing 76.2% of her passes, and also punched in one touchdown on the ground. The performance marked the most passing yards she has had since back in January of 2024. She has become a key player for Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon: the team is 10-2 when she posts at least three passing touchdowns, but 3-6 otherwise.

Coming up, Shigematsu and Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon will square off against Virgin Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
