The Granbury Pirates will square off against the Denton Broncos at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Granbury is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight games on Thursday. They lost 35-13 to Azle. Having soared to a lofty 40 points in the game before, the Pirates couldn't push the score so high this time.

Although Granbury took the loss, they still got scores from Austin Reeves and Conner VanQuill.

Meanwhile, Denton played a tough contest on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against Ryan, falling 38-14. The defeat continues a trend for the Broncos in their meetings with the Raiders: they've now lost eight in a row.

Granbury will have to contain Dmontrez Trez Rogers as he made an impact in Denton's last game. He rushed for 67 yards and one TD on only six carries, and also picked up 47 receiving yards and one score. Trez Rogers' longest rush was for an incredible 71 yards.

Granbury's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Denton, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.
