Baseball Recap: Lyons Lions vs. Downers Grove North Trojans
Lyons blew Downers Grove North out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Thursday Downers Grove North got their revenge. The Lions fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 14-12. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Lions, who until this contest were averaging 3.93 runs allowed.
Luke Nicholaus and Blake Ragsdale did some serious damage despite the final result: Nicholaus got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one triple, one run, and one RBI, while Ragsdale went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Justin Heydorn, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
