Soccer Recap: Cedar Shoals Comes Up Short

Cedar Shoals was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the East Jackson Eagles, falling 7-4. Zulma Valdivieso-Gutierrez probably wasn't too happy after the match: she scored every single goal for the Jaguars and still walked away on the losing team.

Cedar Shoals now has a losing record of 2-3. As for East Jackson, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cedar Shoals will challenge Eastside at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Cedar Shoals is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4 goals per game this season. As for East Jackson, they will square off against East Hall at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in East Jackson's favor is that they have posted at least four goals every time they've taken the pitch this season.
