Football Recap: Cam Frost's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Mountain View over Gateway + How To Watch

Mountain View blew Gateway out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Thursday Gateway got their revenge. The Mountain Lions fell just short of the Olympians by a score of 21-18. The Mountain Lions just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Mountain View lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Cam Frost, who threw for 102 yards and a pair of TDs, and also rushed for 37 yards.

Lyric Wynn had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 126 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries, while also picking up 65 receiving yards for Gateway. Those 126 rushing yards gave Wynn a new career-high.

Mountain View's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Gateway, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.

Mountain View will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Fort Morgan at 7:00 p.m. on October 10. This will be the Mountain Lions' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Gateway, they will welcome Grand Junction at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers' defense has only allowed 13.2 points per game this season, so the Olympians' offense will have their work cut out for them.
